DOMAINE DE FONTENILLE, PROVENCE

Located in Provence, France, Domaine de Fontenille is a luxury hotel and vineyard. Producing their own wines and with two on-site restaurants, this venue was the perfect setting for Fatima & Thibault’s destination wedding.

Fatima Geffrin (Head of Business Operations at 16Arlington) & Thibault Geffrin (Art Director and Dealer at Almine Rech) and their guests took over the whole hotel for the weekend to celebrate in style with their family and friends. It was the first hotel they stayed at when they took their first trip together to that region and it is a place they return to each summer season. Surrounded by 18th-century vineyards, the château is situated in the Luberon Natural Park, one of Provence’s most celebrated green spots.

The dress

Fatima was born and raised in the Netherlands and as an ode to her Dutch upbringing, she chose a chic slim fitted mermaid gown by Viktor & Rolf Mariage from their SS21 collection.

Together with Hair & Make-up Artist Trine Juel they worked on a Grace Kelly-inspired elegant yet modern look.

The jewellery

She finished with a classic pair of pearl earrings by the Brazilian jewellery brand,  Sauer , a tennis bracelet and her engagement ring which Fatima and Thibault designed together.

The party dress

After the reception, Fatima changed into a multi-colored metallic pleated  lame dress by Givenchy, it was the closing look from their Resort 2019 collection. The dress was sourced via Hollywood's favourite vintage dealer, Cherie Balch aka  Shrimpton Couture.  She completed the look with the latest style designed by Fabrizio Viti, the Tima platforms in black leather.

The groom

Thibault chose a custom made look by Gambler Paris which was inspired by a well-known painting of the Maharaja of Indore. His shirt was custom Emma Willis.

He finished the look with a pair of black leather J.M. Weston dress shoes and a vintage YSL tuxedo pin which Fatima gifted him for their anniversary this year.

Alongside the photographs we also captured this wedding film for Fatima & Thibault, using authentic Kodak Super 8mm motion picture film and vintage movie cameras.

“Louise and her team were commissioned to shoot our wedding in the south of France and it suffices to say that they have delivered above and beyond. They photographed and filmed analogue which is the style we love the most and what made us choose Louise. We couldn't have asked for a better partner to capture our life event with such grace. Louise's eye is something special, she managed to capture small, tender moments within a big event that make her work ever so special. We thank you so much dearest Louise for your love and dedication that you put in the work that you do!”

The evening

The evening began with a dance by the bride and groom which got everyone in the mood for the party. Dinner and speeches on the terrace were an absolute delight, enveloping the evening with a harmonious blend of warmth, gratitude, and delectable French cuisine.

An quick outfit change into the vintage Givenchy dress and the party began with DJ’s playing everything from 90’s RnB to French house music.
