AN ELEGANT AND JOYFUL WEDDING IN DUBLIN FEATURING A BESPOKE EMILIA WICKSTEAD DRESS

Photography & Moving Image by Taylor & Porter

TRINITY COLLEGE & KILRUDDERY HOUSE

Located in Dublin, Trinity College is the oldest university in Ireland having been founded in 1592. Grace and Alex met whilst studying there and despite now living half way around the world in Los Angeles, they chose to return to Dublin to host their spectacular wedding weekend. Their reception venue Kilruddery House just to the south of Dublin is a stunning 17th century mansion with an exquisite orangery attached to it.

The whole weekend was planned and designed by House Of Hannah Events.

The dress

For her wedding look, the bride, Grace, worked with  Emilia Wickstead on a custom design paired with a veil and Stuart Weitzman heels.

Hair Stylist Joanne Kelly O’Hara & Make-up Artist Emma O’Byrne created a natural and modern look for Grace.

Stationer Lenka Bance  created a design for the invitation suite which included a detailed letterpress rendering of Trinity College.

The jewellery

Alex proposed to Grace with a family heirloom, his Grandmother’s stunning antique engagement ring.

The bouquet

The florals reflected the early Autumnal season and were created by Irish floral designer The Garden.

The ceremony

Travelling to church in a classic car, Grace joined her father, former World Cup winning professional rugby player and All Blacks Captain Sean Fitzpatrick.

Alongside the photographs we also captured this wedding film for Grace & Alex, using authentic Kodak Super 8mm motion picture film and vintage movie cameras.

Super 8mm Wedding Film

In the spectacular surroundings of Trinity Chapel, Grace & Alex exchanged their vows. A full choir - The Park Singers - performed throughout the service.

The ceremony

After the ceremony, we captured some family portraits and some quick photos of Grace & Alex at Trinity College before we all departed for Killruddery House.

“We are so happy we chose to work with Taylor & Porter for our wedding in Ireland.
Louise and her team were an absolute joy to work with throughout the whole process, she really took the time to understand what we wanted and made us feel completely at ease.
We are in love with our photos and the 8mm film she created - so happy that we chose to do the film too, it's such a beautiful memory of the day!
I have already recommended her to other friends and would again & again!”

The reception

A warm cocktail reception on the lawn and in the orangery of Killruddery House followed.

The portraits

As guests seated for dinner, we spent a few moments capturing some portraits of the couple together.

Speeches and supper gave way to dancing into the night. Live music was played by 29 Fingers.

The party
The day after

The following day guests met at one of Dublin’s oldest pubs for traditional live music, wedding cake and plenty of Guinness to toast the newly weds on their way.
