BABINGTON HOUSE WEDDING, cotswolds
A quintessentially English manor house and a exclusive wedding venue in the heart of the Cotswolds. Babington House is a Georgian manor in the heart of Somerset, with bedrooms, a spa and cinema for members. Part of the Soho House group this long established venue offers fun and luxury in equal measure. The bride said “With most of our 120 wedding guests travelling from all over the world to England for the wedding, we wanted the time we spent together to be both fun and relaxing. We chose Babington House, not only because of its romantic charm, but also because it is the dreamiest adult getaway retreat. We took over the entire house’s 33 bedrooms for two nights so it was more than just a venue–it was our group’s true home-away-from-home for the weekend.”
The whole wedding weekend was meticulously planned and designed by Lauren Alway with support from Babington’s wedding events manager Sophie Frost. The celebrations began with a welcome event in the walled kitchen garden of Babington with a summer barbeque and lots of freshly made salads.
Sara’s welcome outfit featured a dress designed by House of CB paired with The OWN Studio scarf, Lola Cruz shoes, Earrings by Completed Works and a Shrimps bag. Brenno opted for a double breasted Reiss suit paired with shoes by Carmina.

Guests received an invitation suite which featured a textured embossed design with Frances Costelloe in colours reminiscent of the English countryside and doodles representing important parts of the couple’s life.

Make up Artist Saskia Wright created Sara’s look for the welcome and the wedding with her hair being styled by Abigail Costanza.
Bridal beautyWe spent just a few moments prior to the ceremony capturing some film stills of Sara in the bridal suite. Opting for a design by The Own Studio paired with a Harriette Gordon veil, Nodaleto shoes and her Mother’s diamond earrings her romantic and modern bridal look featured statement sleeves and a veil with stars embroidered in it. The groom opted for a classic Prada suit, Ferragamo shoes and a Cartier watch.
Sara’s bouquet was designed by Flowers By Passion and featured sculptural orchids and seasonal spring flowers

The ceremony was held overlooking the lake at Babington and featured traditions honouring both family’s heritages - Brazilian music and a Filipino candle and veil ritual.

Post ceremony, guests enjoyed cocktails on the lawn to the side of the house. The bride noted “We wanted the wedding to be beautiful, but also unfussy, eclectic, and playful–nothing too staid or serious.” Artist Natalia Bagniewska created all the joyus on-the-day stationery design and in a nod to the bride’s role in the music industry, guests were gifted a tamborine each with their names on, created by Cathy-Ann from Thistle Paper Co.
A canvas tent by Abbas was the setting for dinner with Duchess & Butler providing elegant tableware and Flowers By Passion filling the space with lots of natural greenery and pops of colour. Diptyque candles filled the space with the couple’s favourite scent and Natalia Bagniewska’s designs continued to add celebratory and colourful tone. Guests were treated to seasonal catering by Babington House, with lots of the produce being grown on site. Each guest also received an illustrated tambourine as a wedding favour which made for the most joyous and rowdy entrance for the bride and groom.
